Welcome Back to School!
I hope you have had a rejuvenating summer. We are proud to be starting off the year as a new Affiliated Charter School. We have been working through the Summer to prepare for a smooth school opening. The school office opened July 30th for enrollment between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Office hours are Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you have a child to enroll, please do so before school starts so your child can be placed in a class before school opens.
The District's focus is on improving test scores, school attendance and implementing "Accelerating Achievement for ALL Students." More information will be coming about these goals.
Parents and students are invited to the Ice Cream Social on Monday, August 13th to meet the teachers and staff. Be sure and mark your calendar and plan on coming!
Important dates:
- July 30th: Office open for all enrollment
- August 13th:
- 12:30 Kinder Orientation
- 1:30pm Ice Cream Social/Meet and Greet-Parents, Students, Teachers & Staff. Be sure to come and Meet your Teacher!
- August 14th: First Day of School. This is a Banked TUESDAY - Dismissal at 1:30 p.m. for grades 1-5. School starts at 8:00 a.m. In the morning, Grades 1-5 will line up on the yard at the assembly area by their classroom number. Staff will be available to help with class assignments. Kindergarten students and their parents will meet in the auditorium for orientation at 9:00 a.m. followed by classroom visits with their new teachers. After class orientations, Kinder students will be dismissed to leave with their parents.
- REMINDER: School hours are 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. everyday but Tuesday. Tuesday, August 14th is our first early dismissal at 1:30 p.m. for all students K-5! Every Tuesday of the year is set aside for Teacher's Meetings.
